About Everyday Pakistan

Everyday Pakistan is a community organization dedicated to elevating and celebrating the work of Pakistani photographers. Our goal is to help create opportunities for members of our community to learn through mentorship and educational programs, to work by connecting them to various funding and employment opportunities, to publish and exhibit their work by connecting them to editors and curators, and finally to provide a platform for collaboration and community building. We are particularly interested in supporting emerging Pakistani photographers.

What other Everyday Projects founders think about the Pakistan project

Many parts of the world are misunderstood, but some suffer more than others from damaging media stereotypes. Just as sub-Saharan Africa is thought to be nothing but poverty and starvation, Pakistan is thought (by many in the West) to be only a place of only violent extremism. Everyday Pakistan helps us to see more, to deeper, to gain a greater understanding of a diverse, vibrant, and complex country.
